ChesLen Preserve Management Center, Natural Lands Trust Development Advisor for 1,263 acre Preserve, Chester County, PA

AthenianRazak is the development advisor to Natural Lands Trust for the ChesLen Preserve Management Center. A leader in the land conservation movement, NLT acquired 1,263 acres in Newlin Township, Chester County, enabling them to integrate all aspects of their preservation, stewardship, recreational and educational programs at the ChesLen Preserve. This location is a result of the donation of land from Gerry Lenfest that was combined with land from Chester County and consolidated by the Brandywine Conservancy. As part of the arrangement, Natural Lands Trust agreed to build this project, a preserve management and visitors center, which is currently under construction.

AthenianRazak is overseeing this development process, including the demolition of the existing preserve management building and pole barn to accommodate the new management center and requisite parking. The new facility will consist of a timber-frame one story building, including 700 sf of office space, a 450 sf multi-purpose room, and approximately 1,850 sf of miscellaneous support spaces. Adjacent to the first floor level will be a 1,000 SF open air pavilion.  <-Back
