Evansburg State Park Homes Skippack, PA

In 2011, AthenianRazak was awarded a long-term property management contract by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).  The contract covers the oversight of 80 single family homes located in Evansburg State Park, a part of the DCNR park system and will involve coordinating maintenance of homes and buildings many of which are historic, preserving rental value, ensuring resident satisfaction and marketing and leasing vacant homes when appropriate.    Located in Montgomery County, PA, Evansburg State Park follows Skippack Creek and encompasses a quilt work of cropland, meadows, old fields and mature woodlands, offering significant green space and relative solitude in an urbanized area.

In spite of a scarcity of records and procedures in place at the site, and the scattered nature of the properties, AthenianRazak was able to ensure a smooth management transition without any disruption of service. A comprehensive analysis of each property was completed to determine needed repairs and a market survey was developed to evaluate current rents. A review of operating procedures helped the Park Service to upgrade management procedures, part of their initial goal in hiring AthenianRazak for this work.
