Ruby Match Open House is Today

October 15, 6-8pm

This 3rd Thursday Camden ArtCrawl will include:

An Open House at the dramatic Ruby Match Factory, Artist William Butler’s Camden Beautiful exhibition the adjacent ArtBox, Kid’s art from Fresh Artists’ “Silly City Program” with the Rutgers-Camden Office of Civic Engagement “Ignite” program.

The Ruby Match Factory is an historic warehouse that will soon be transformed into offices; come view it before the brick walls, timber trusses and x-braced steel columns are brought to life with new mezzanines and services to become Camden’s first state-of-the-art loft offices.

The Camden ArtBox is a shipping container transformed into a public creative arts space. The exterior is a 4-sided mural arts space; the interior is a professional art gallery.

Camden Beautiful is an exhibit of black and white representational paintings by William Butler, who lives and works in Camden and has been moved to sketch and paint its beauty.

Fresh Artists’ Silly City Program with Ignite is an innovative display of work from North Camden children interpreting their built environment using recycled materials and lots of moxie!

Stay to create your own art on the ArtBox’s chalkboard installation: tell us why you love Camden! Travel inside the Ruby Match Factory to learn about its history and transformation and see Camden kids’ Silly Cities art. Enjoy a Ruby Rum Cocktailfrom Camden’s own Cooper River Distillers!
